Product Description

The IWC Portugieser Chronograph Classic Laureus Sport for Good IW390406 is a refined limited edition created in support of the Laureus Foundation’s charitable work. This eighth-generation Laureus model is limited to 1,000 pieces and features the signature blue dial that has become a hallmark of the collection. Its stainless steel 42mm case houses the in-house automatic Calibre 89361, offering a 68-hour power reserve along with a flyback chronograph and date display for added functionality. The case back is engraved with a child’s drawing, underscoring the model’s philanthropic mission, with part of the proceeds going to the Laureus Foundation. Elegant yet sporty, the timepiece balances IWC’s precision engineering with meaningful design. This example, sold with a May 2017 warranty, has been maintained and refinished, with the strap replaced by a Cassis alligator strap. A few minor scratches on the crystal do not detract from its overall sophistication and collectability.
